Name: Bill's MeatBlob (aka meatloaf
Submittor: Bill Hillhouse

Ingredients

1. 1 1/2 pounds ground beef (I think I had 3 pounds) 2. 1 pound of sausage 3. 1 onion finely chopped (make it a big one) 4. 2 cloves of fresh garlic (I added garlic in that had come with a pizza because I had more meat) 5. Salt, Pepper, Thyme & fresh parsley finely chopped (no quantity stated, so I winged it) :) 6. 1/2 cup of ketchup ( I used one cup of Pace's mild salsa since I had more meat) credit for this change goes to my friend Demaris 7. 2 long carrots, shredded and then chopped (another contribution from Demaris) 8. 1 tablespoon of mustard ( I just squirted some in the big mixing bowl - not a clue how much) 9. 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce (same thing - not a clue) 10. A1 steak sauce - not in the recipe but it was next to the Worcestershire at Kroger - (not a clue how much) 11. 3 slices of wheat bread soaked in 1/2 cup of milk ( when done I just dumped the bread and excess milk in with the rest) Everything is in the bowl now !!! (unless you think of something else)

Directions

Preperation steps (It was Sunday night watching the Super bowl 2007): 1. Fixed a strong drink or full glass of wine (your choice) 2. Position Your work so you can see the TV (in this case the SuperBowl) 3. Gather the following ingredients Next steps: 1. Continue watching TV 2. Wash hands and fix another drink (that way you won't get your glass greasy) 3. With all ingredients preped in the same bowl dig in to blend it all together (the receipe says "in a kneading type pattern until well blended) I just stood up and dug in. (don't answer the phone during this process) 4. The recipe says "Form into a loaf and place in pyrex glass 13 x 9 dish" Well hell, I had so much meatloaf I just rolled it out of the mixing bowl into the 13 x 9 pyrex dish. I looked like the blob from that old Steve McQueen movie. 5. THEN I FORMED THE LOAF !!!! 6. Washed hands and finished the drink 7. Cover with aluminum foil and put in fridge to be cooked/baked Monday night. Monday night after work: 1. Put meatloaf in cold oven and set to 350 - procedure agreed on by Deborah and I - don't argue it worked. 2. Fix drink 3. Set timer to 30 minutes and check meat when it goes off. 4. If all is well then set timer to 1 hour and check when it goes off 5. Take the foil off and reset timer for 1 hour. 6. Spoon off about 1/2 cup of the drippings to be used to make gravy or your choice) 7. Fix drink 8. When final hour is finish keep oven on warm until the rest of dinner is ready 9. Enjoy drink while doing #8 From here on you are on your own I can't help you. You can add, change or delete what ever you want in this recipe. Obviously that is what I did.

Misc

The spirited beverage if your choice but it sure made the evening more fun.
